New permissions

I have changed the permissions on the website so not everybody surfing the web can just access it. If you know of anybody interested following Mawell as well (and honestly, who isn't ;-), let me know their e-mail address and I will add them. Thanks!

Special day!

Baby Maxwell is 6 months old today!

When your baby is born, you start counting his age in days, then you start referring to his age in weeks and next are months. As of now Maxwell is on his way to start counting his age in years, wow!

The first 6 months of his life have been pretty crazy, the little guy has already travelled to Atlanta, (Georgia, twice) Orlando, Tallahassee, and Destin (Florida), Mobile (Alabama), Meridian (Mississippi) and finally the Netherlands! He has stayed at the Hilton, Holiday Inn, various other hotels, friends places, and both grandparents houses. The locations of his beds and baths have changed more than once.Has this been good or bad? It doesn't matter..

Despite these constant changes, Maxwell is happy, open, excited, flexibel, and a little nutty ;-); all in all an absolutely wonderful little guy and we are all so proud of him.  He is the best, he is my little buddy.

Happy 1/2 birthday my precious little baby, I love you very very much!

Goats and grass

Maxwell discovers something new every day. Lying outside on a rug in the backyard, he stretched his arm and felt something funny, grass....He was fascinated and could not stop touching it. After touching the grass, he pulled it and was going for his mouth. We stopped his little exploring adventures there ;-).

Not only has Maxwell discovered grass, the day before that he met goats and thought they were just hilarious. His giggling as a response to the goats was to cute!

Seeing the world through the eyes of your little one makes every day magical, who would have thought goats and grass could be so much fun...Can't wait to see what we'll discover tomorrow..

He's eating!

They grow up so fast.....
Yesterday, under the watchful eyes of grandma & grandpa van Holsteijn, uncle Vincent & aunt Jenny, Max took his first bites of food. In honor of the Dutch national color, we picked carrots. It was a fun experience, leaving a trail of orange behind....next: green beans.
