Only two days left.....

Time is going very fast all of a sudden: the moment where we have to say goodbye is almost there. I can't even start to describe how hard that is.

Max and I are returning home this Saturday, so Michael can finish up and leave as well. The sooner the deployment starts, the sooner we can start counting the days until we see each other again. Let's start this crazy adventure :-(.

Our mini goodbye tour

Michael is leaving any day now, so we are trying to spend as much time together as we can.

We left Kissimmee, Florida (and little Gizmo :-( ) and went to visit Tallahassee, the town where Michael went to college. He showed us his former university; including dorms, fraternity house and apartment. Tallahassee was a great town to visit and Michael is convinced Maxwell will go there as well some day,

After we left Tallahassee, we went to the beach!! Destin, Florida is a town located on what is called the Emerald coast, and it is....white sandy beaches, clear waters, it is absolutely gorgeous. Max saw and enjoyed the ocean for the very first time and he loved it! Mostly he loved to watch us splash the water up and down, acting all crazy. and we love to hear Max giggle, so that's exactly what we did.

Finally we visited Mobile, Alabama, and spend sometime visiting a memorial site, including a naval ship, submarine and B-52!

Now we are in Mississippi, waiting until Michael gets orders to leave. We are living in the moment, enjoying every single one we get. Right now we are happy :-).

The things we get excited about these days....

We all know that what goes in, must come out. Max is a very good eater and rarely spits up, so lots of dirty diapers are to be expected. What we did not know however was that it is perfectly normal for baby's not to poop for a while, especially when breastfed. Max is one of those babies and has made us very happy parents by only pooping about once a week :-). So yeh,  this is definitely not a complaint posting.

Well, why am I posting about Max's poopy diapers then? The funny part is that we always seem to know when it's that time again. When we haven't seen a nr. 2 in a while we tell Max; : It's time for another poopy diaper; will you give us one today ;-)? And he does! Every single time it works! He poops for us! And not just a poopy diaper, no it is the dirtiest diaper of all dirty diapers; a huge big blow out ruining at least a onesie and his pants! to which we cheer, clap and yell in excitement (relieved that his bowels still work). The things you get excited about as new parents.......

2 ps's:
1: I don't think Max will like me telling this story when he's 16, so don't mention it to him then, ssst.
2: Michael took the camera card with him and I have the camera, so new pictures will follow after we're reunited.
