Fall 2018

Fall will always be my favorite time of year. I enjoy the days getting darker, the leaves changing color, hot coffees, socks in shoes, and ofcourse Halloween!

He's collecting them! So cute, as a kid I collected Jan, Jans, and de kinderen ;-).

Trying new things.

Hiding to avoid all the parents with their picture cameras

 Halloween this year: Succes!

 Dinosaur fight

Veteran's Day 2018, Arlington Cemetary is most beautiful in the fall as well.

This kid is talking non stop now and he is SO funny!

My son

When it rains he tells me to open the blinds so we can watch the down pour from inside. When I ask him what he'd like to do on a Sunday afternoon, he wants to walk to the book store and back. When we take him to Disney, he asks if we can go somewhere quiet instead.  He calls me his true love and says that I am his. He is growing into himself and reminds me more and more of me.

Wow, it was busy!

Liberty Tavern! A second home on summery Fridays, Max doesn't even have to order anymore, he gets a Sprite without asking.

Worked my butt off, I started looking paler, more baggy eyed, and picked up a chronic stress pain in my hand and shoulder as a result. Glad that's over now.

 Shaving just like daddy

Only one at the office on a Saturday, the road to becoming Dr. can be a lonely one.

That included working while the rest of the family was on vacation.

Luckily Petey was there.

Many reasons for now slowing down now.

Love ofcourse being the most important one.

Growing, growing, growing, there's no slowing down the time.

I consider this delivery my second child ;-)

Year 8

Maxwell was looking at this blog the other day and I was so happy I kept it up all these years. PHD life has somewhat interrupted this process, but I am going to keep making an effort nonetheless. Here again is a random selection of pictures. In short: Life in DC is mostly fantastic, incredibly busy, but fantastic.

The site of my second practicum, which is now almost coming to an end :-(
 Second visit already!
 Working hard
 and then play
 Falling asleep reading car magazines
Some things do not change no matter where you move
 Waiting for the bus
An extremely rare night out, FSU veterans' event
Neuroweek!
 He's still mean
 A sweet new friend
What I always wanted: A favorite neighborhood restaurant
 New adventures next year
I even like the traffic! I do not ever want to leave the city again
Gave it a try, no success
Singing together every morning: Little Red Corvette
My big man
