Are we ready?
Yes
Yes
Yes
And out..
First stop: Beaches of Jupiter, east coast Florida
Max loves the beach and the water, could not get enough of it
Even the shower at the beach is fun
A day like that wears a little man out
The next day: the Everglades
Where are the alligators Maxie?
Everywhere!
And ofcourse some (according to Max) kak kak's
Then! Of to Key West! Love love love the place!!!
Listening to the band at Blue Haven
No shoes, no shirt and I still get service...what?!
Duvall Street
HAVE to go there: The place is legendary on Key West
Trying out the Key West look
And out again..
The next day: Mike's Birthday!! This year it's Hemingway themed, listened to 'A moveable feast' on the way up to Key West and today we are visiting:
Max could not separate himself from the fountain up front since it had his favorite type of entertainment: water
Santiago Sanchez from 'the Old man and the Sea'
Key West has a Hemingway lookalike competition each year and there are fierce competitors as we have seen many man on the island rocking the grey hair and full gray beard.
What better way to spend your Bday at Hemingway's favorite hang out: Sloppy Joe's!
Key West is full of roosters and chickens running free on the streets; they were brought over from Cuba and (by law) cannot by touched. This is Abigail, who is a he. Max got to pet the tok, tok, tok.
And lost his pants at the bar, hanging out on Duval Street in a diaper, can't get much cooler than that
Day 3: The resort was wonderfull
which rocked Max to sleep
The most Southern point of the US. Cuba is only 90! miles away
Cruising the island by bike
And ending with a dinner on the Roof top terrace
A certain little person touched the camera lens with his dirty fingers, so the pictures of the next day are a little blurry :-)
Still clean, but downhill from here:
